The twin sisters had never ever seen their father, and the disappearance of dad was a taboo in family. The twins had an unhappy childhood because the secret police spied on them. People also ostracized them out of fear. When feeling sad, they hug a little dog name Beaty then it lick their tears.

This story is based on the history of White Terror in Taiwan, during that time, the KMT goverment killed and imprisoned Taiwanese out of fear that they might resist rules or sympathize with communism.
